Dannii's farewell letter

There were lots o peculations about Dannii's exit from X Factor. On My Daily, the former X Factor judge posted a farewell letter. She explained the reason for her exit and also wished the new judges the very best of luck. Dannii has said she's fan of the show and is planning to catch up on YouTube.

There has been a lot of speculation about me leaving The X Factor this week and I have been moved by the messages I have received from fans. I'm disappointed that 'Team Minogue' can't be a part of the show again this year, but I'm not 'furious,' 'upset' or 'livid;' we simply couldn't make the dates work.

The X Factor is brilliant and I've been the biggest fan since the first series. This year I will be watching the show from wherever I am. Can I still dress up at home?

I will be getting on the plane this weekend with the biggest smile on my face. Your kind messages of love and support this past week have filled me with so much joy. I will be back in the UK very soon for the release of the next 'Project D' collection, 'My Style' fashion book launch and some other secret projects! ☺

The Axe Factor....

Dannii Minogue No Longer on UK Panel.

The blog everybodyistalkingabout has made a post about X Factor bosses axe of Dannii. It pretty much sums up the whole thing so here is a re-post of it:

In a statement released on Saturday Dannii Minogue was quoted as attributing a Diary Clash as the reason why she will no longer be gracing the judging panel of the UK X-Factor. But what could possibly be more important than the hottest job in reality TV? (Not to mention the fact that it is also very well paid)

Apparently the X Factor producers refused to rejig the UK audition dates so that Dannii could take part in the show as well as her native Australia's Got Talent (AGT). Although they didn't seem to have any qualms when it came to accomodating new judge Gary Barlow's busy schedule....Hmmm.

After being informed that she would have to flit between Australia and the UK (a mere 25 hour flight each way!) Dannii prioritised a simpler lifestyle; opting to spend more time at home with 10 month old son Ethan whilst still fufilling her great job on AGT. Who could blame her?
It appears that the X Factor producers gave her a difficult choice and were happy to push in a certain direction...out the door.

I for one will definintely miss Dannii, she added sense, class and elegance to the X Factor panel; plus her style and keen fashion sense was pretty spectacular too. Every Saturday I was more excited about Dannii's outfits than who was singing what.

And now with no Cheryl, no Simon and no Dannii we are left clinging to the dregs of continuity...cue nonsense talking, surrogate father of Jedward, Louis Walsh...Oh Dear!
Will we find ourselves warming to the Irish man's washed out shirts and ridiculous comments? I think not.
The only other confirmed panel member is Gary Barlow (Yawn!) And with two spots up for grabs a couple of names have been bounded about in the press; Kelly Rowland (Who? The low profile former member of Destiny's Child) and Tulisa Contostavlos (the only marginally likeable member of NDubz).

All of a sudden the 2011 UK X Factor has lost its appeal.

Dannii leaves X Factor

Dannii has stepped down as a judge from the popular reality TV show. Because of her commitments to Australia's Got Talent it was imposible for her to attend the U.K dates which clashes with the filmings down under.

In a statement posted on My Daily Dannii says:

During discussions for me to return [to The X Factor] it became clear that unfortunately, this year, the X Factor audition dates in the UK clash with the live shows of Australia's Got Talent during June and July. For this reason I am unable to return.

I want to wish the new judges every success for this year's show, and can't wait to see who the British public choose as their next big star. Thanks to everyone who has shown me so much love and support, and brought me so much joy during my four incredible years working on the show.

Dannii spend 4 years on the show, becoming the first female judge to win the X Factor in 2007. 3 tough years later she took back her crown and won it with Matt Cardle.

What a feeling!

Team Minogue are through to the end of this weekends Grand Final of The X Factor 2010. And it was reunion for all the boys as they joined in Matt, Rebecca, Cher & One direction on the group song of 'What a feeling' from flashdance.

Matt's voice wasn't on top but he managed to shine with his two songs. The first one was 'Here with me' which he performed along with his guitar.

Then it was time for the star duet and media who uses the term Sex Factor, really got a look at that as Rihanna took the stage with the last boy standing. The Superstar singer was dressed in a sexy revealing dress which left Matt breathless but together they made sweet music and oozed chemistry to her hitsong 'Unfaithful'.

Before his first performance the viewers got to see how it was like when Matt and Team Captain Dannii went back to Essex to celebrate his success. There wasn't a dry eye in the house when his father started to cry as he spoke proudly about his son.

On Xtra Factor Matt praised his mentor for being there for him.

I give her the biggest thank you that I’ve ever given, from the bottom of my heart, for all her support and guidance through the competition. She has been without a doubt, so incredible to me and I want to thank her so much.

One act had to leave and tonight it was Cher.
Tomorrow one more act will go and then two to remaining acts will compete against each other.
The final 3 now are Matt, Rebecca & One Direction.

Tonight's the night

The first part of this weekends Grand Final of The X Factor starts tonight. Last boy standing Matt is tipped to win, but, as you know, he has voice problems. Matt was told to save his voice on yesterday's rehearsals and was spotted wearing a sign saying 'Kiss me - I'm on vocal rest'.

There were also some dram during the week with him not feeling well and questions if his duet partner Rihanna would pop up or not. She will because the American Superstar tweeted this today.

It's a team effort and no one knows that better than Matt. The former paitnter & decorater has been a bandmember and is aware of the hard work behind a performance.
He told Mirror that he's been getting a lot of gifts from Team Captain Dannii and that he'd like to give her something back but that he has no money.

A win will be a priceless present for Dannii and she's doing everything to back her boy. The cheeky stunenr popepd up @ The X Factor pre-final press conference with a personalized cellphone with the message 'Vote Matt'.

Matt is a favourite to win the show and fingers crossed he'll take it all the way. Aiden is there to support him, completing Maiden and their bromance, as are the other eliminated brothers of Team Minogue. Stacey Solomon will cover the fans reactions part of the show. The 2009's bronze medalist and newly crowned Queen of the jungle is backing Matt all the way from Essex.

Amazed Cheryl makes Dannii blush

They may have been pitched up against each other since Cheryl joined the X Factor team in 2008. Who is prettier, more popular, best dressed etc. But at the pre-final press conference earlier today the glam girls showed the press that they do get along and that it's not an act.

Cheryl surprised many when she said that she is impressed with Dannii juggling motherhood and X Factor-ing at the same time.

Dannii is incredible. One minute she is breast feeding, the next she's
on stage. She is amazing.

The comment made Dannii blush and she was hiding her face in her hands.

Pre final press conference

Today the annual pre-final press conference took place in London. All the judges and their reminaing acts were present. Dannii and Matt happily posed for the press folks and cheeky Dannii who looked ever so glam in red, came with a message - Vote for Matt - on her cellphone!

It was announced that one act will leave on Saturday and then another one on Sunday, leaving the last two acts to battle for the X Factor gold medal and the £1million record deal.

What are Team Minogue's chances? Good if you look at the bookies but Matt told the reporters that he's still not 100% well but that he will do the best he can. Dannii admitted she is worried and said they're not playing the sick card. Matt really is ill. Watch a video of it here.

Yesterday was like one big party for Dannii and Matt as they went back home to Essex for the last boy standing's homecoming gig.

First they went to Five Bells Pub, Colne Engaine where Matt used to play and where he has friends and family. The former painter and decorater only performed one song - Nights in white satin - to save his vocie for the big night. Both that night and for Saturday's show.

In the afternoon he took his mentor to see his parents but instead of tea, they had champagne! Both parents where mighty impress with the people's diva and are very proud of their talented son.

His tickets sold out in no-time and Heart Essex who were one of of the sponsors of the night were in Clochester to interview the two of them and wishing Matt good luck on the Grand Final night. Dannii told them that her Matt being so great makes her job very easy. She also said she'd like to see her boy win this competition.

A slightly Matt stepped out on stage with his hat and his guitar and sang 3 songs.

It's heating up and now duet rumours are popping up. The latest is that the Essex lad will sing with Robbie Williams. Yes, once again the secret son of Mr Cowell is popping up in the game, but also Christina Aguilera has been named as a possible duet partner.
Maybe they'll give some hints on the annual pre Final press conference later this week.

Dannii & Matt were greeted like royals and they were both standing on a balcony waving to xcited fans. The joke DM for PM is becoming less and less of a laugh and fans are delighted that the X Factor judge has been Matt's campaign leader. They've got lots of love with both Dannii's fans wanting Dannii and her gifted boy to win and Matt fans wanting their favourite contestant and their favourite judge to take it all the way.

So let's crown them the King & Queen of X Factor 2010.

Semi Final - the results

Dannii and Matt made it through which means that the last boy standing is now going to compete for the gold medal on next week Final shows.

Left in the sing-off were Cher and Mary. Despite having a bit on an attidute with Dannii last night, Cher actually listened to Dannii's comments and sang a ballad. A ballad that got her a ticket to the Final.

So now it's between Matt, Rebecca, Cher and One Direction.

Semi Final - performance night

It's been an xtra tough week for Team Minogue. Matt hasn't been feeling well at all and misse dout on a lot of the rehearsals for this weeks show.

But the last boy standing still managed to pull off two very difficult and ovcally demanding songs.
For the 'club classics' week he got to sing 'You've got the love' first.
The comments were positive overall but Simon dissed Matt for being ill and wasn't at all impressed with the electric guitar playing Matt, but at the end he actually praised Matt saying he is cool.

Look forget about the fact that you had flu, because I don’t think anybody cares. It was a brilliant choice of song and I like the fact that you were on flavour on it. Can I mention that I had a cold this week as well. Having got to know you over the past week, I want to vouch for the fact that you are a very sincere, cool contestant!

His second song, the one that hopefully will give him a place in the final was 'She's always a woman. Cheryl noticed just how ill the lad was and Louis told him that he hasn't had a bad performance on the show. Simon disagreed - a lot!
You’ve got all the support and the capabilities and unfortunately for me tonight, this for me was your worst song. It’s exactly what you’re not, you’re not that safe kind of artist, you shouldn’t be singing a song like that which you can’t put your stamp on. I think it was a safe option and
I’m not a fan of the song.
Team Captain Dannii was a vision tonight and stood up for her boy.
You’ve got the love, thank you for not letting me down and I know that you were so worried about that performance and it’s been a real struggle to get up there. Thank you that was brilliant.
Dannii also got a taste of the little madame that is Cher as she criticized her song choice.

On Xtra Factor the judges got a surprise call all the way from Afghanistan and the three men started the chat by asking for Dannii's phone number.

And let's hope people who tuned in and all you fans out there and voting for Matt because now it's now or never.

Matt to miss the Semi Finals?

There's more drama than ever as X Factor kick off it's Semi Final tonight.
During the week Matt has been ill and today a spokesperson says he is suffering from a chest infection.
A show spokeswoman said: Matt is struggling with a chest infection but we are hoping he
will be able to make it tonight.

We have drawn up a contingency plan
which will be put into operation if he is ruled out but we do not wish to reveal
that at this stage. We anticipate not having to use it.
Team Captain Dannii has tweeted get well messages to her last boy standing and while being interviewed by a Metro reporter, she said that he boy was in bed ill.
His friends are tweeting get well wishes as well.

Matt hasn't been to the rehearsals and at the secret gig for Talktalk, he was not allowed to sing.
If he does sing tonight which we all hope for of course, what will he sing?
Well Matty will sing, that's the word from himself. And although he isn't feeling well tonight he's bringing another surprise on stage...Matt will do an electric guitar solo on one of his songs tonight.

The Critical Factor

Dannii is outspoken and an honest judge on X Factor, that's what she is known for and that's how she's always been. She told Marie Claire that sometimes it even makes people scared, including her sister.

I’d always go down to her shows and watch the run-through. I’d
sit there afterwards and give her a list of all the things that had to change. I
was her eyes in the audience.
So after a few tours her crew was like,
‘Dannii’s coming down today – we have to get our sh*t together!

I have never been scared to say what I
think and it’s the same
with my contestants on The X Factor now.

Kylie backs up the story by saying that she always thought Dannii would be perfect for judging on X Factor because she's so direct and straight to the point.
She would come to my concerts and I always knew I was going to
get a real opinion. Like she'd say, 'Dancers two and five were off.' She'd give
me a list of things.'

The Minogues stick together and Kylie says she's of course on her sisters train but she also added that thinks Rebecca is outstanding and someone who stands out.
So more votes for Cheryl's golden girl.

Matt has got a tough week and will have to give 100% xtra on Saturday. Lou-Lou confirmed it's a single elimination with the public deciding who's leaving. Then the week after 4 lucky contestants will battle it out on the big Grand Final.

The theme this week is...club classics. Our diva's territory!
But can Matt pull it off? There's no video diary available yet from the last boy standing but it was a relaxed and at easy Matt that went with his X Factor mates to see The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader.

Everybody knows about the bromance between him and Aiden. Fans dubbed them Maiden and Matt wrote brilliant little song to celebrate their bromance.

He said his second performance was the real him with the guitar singing. His comments on two more leaving Wagner and Katie was that now it's the end of the competition. Still not 100% well Matt also said that he'll sing 2 songs this week as well which he is xcited about. It's going to be more uptempo and if he's feeling well then he said this could e a great week for him and Team Minogue.

In the brand new January issue of Marie Claire, Dannii has spoken out about her relationship with fellow glam girl Cheryl Cole.

Since Cheryl joined the show in 2008 there have been stories about them not liking each other. It goes back to 2003 when Cheryl slammed Dannii's looks and the media feud that was between Dannii and Girls Aloud.

Dannii had a tough time when she joined the show in 2007. Sharon Osbourne didn't make any sort of welcoming and began to freeze out the newest member of the panel with a little help from Louis Walsh. Lou-Lou and Dannii have now put that behind them but the stories of a 'Cole-d' war continued.

It wasn't until last year that people started to see that the real teams are the Glam girls vs the X men. And this year it's even more obvious. When Dannii put Simon Cowell on the spot and asked him to name his boys in the group One Direction Simon failed not once, but twice!
Cheryl watched the drama between her fellow judges and looked smug as Dannii won the battle with their boss.

Cheryl is very fond of Ethan and told the media earlier this year how impressed she is of Dannii doing it all, having baby Ethan, breastfeeding backstage and coming out looking like a million bucks.

The much adored Style War is a big reason to why many are tuning in. The Grand Dames of Television are being judged on everything from their nailpolish to their shoes.
The Sun crowned Dannii as the winner of this series. Dannii has won The sun's fashion poll for 8 consecutive weeks and she actually did the same last year.

But the so called war might come to an end now. Dannii told Grazia magazine that she'd love to see Cheryl wear one of her Project D dresses.

Semi Final goss

Last night Team Minogue made it to the Semi Final. Anyone who's been watching the show must have noticed the shaky young man next to Dannii. On yesterday's result show Matt looked even more nervous than ever but he didn't have to wait long for his name to be called out.

Both Dannii and Matt looked relieved and happy with being a part of the Semi Final.
During the weekend Dannii spoke about Matt and his nerves.

He has no idea how popular he is. He has the constant fear of being voted off.
When I’m standing with my arm around Matt when the voting’s being announced
he’s shaking so hard it feels like he’s going to fall over

Getting negative press is a big part of working in showbiz, especially when you're reaching the top. Dannii knows all about being slaughtered by media and when asked how Matt took it when his ex girlfriend talked about him in the press she said:

There was one day when he was really rocky. She was a big part of his life.
So it was like a friend going against you. It’s difficult.

Also today there's some bad stories about him and should he (fingers crossed) sail through to the Grand Final then you can for xpect even more...

Today Matt's a happy boy though. 'Heroes' the charity single for the Help for heroes charity went straight to no 1.

With Wagner gone, Wagner fans are putting all their votes on Mary instead hoping that she'll become the new mascot and a way of stopping Simon's success.
Fans suggest that it'll be a Rebecca vs One Direction final though with Matt taking the bronze medal. Of course this is only gossip so far but Cheryl's golden girl has a huge fanbase and lots of celeb supporters. One Direction has the teen votes.

We failed to take all of Dannii's boys to the top but now we're putting all the energy on making sure that Dannii and her Matt will win this years competition.

Oh-what-wow! We're in the Semi Final!

Yes, good news at last! Despite being ill and having negative press, Team Minogue's Matt is officially in the game. Both he and the team captain jumped for joy as Dermot read out his name.

Down under a nervous Kris wanted to be updated on how things were going on tonights show, reminding people to vote for the last boy standing.

Tonight's show started off with some fun with guest stars like Justin Bieber and then later Nicole Scherzinger was back.

Nicole did a good job guest judging while our lady was away on maternity leave and was a hit with the picky X Factor audience. We also have her to thank for Matt being in Dannii's group. She was the one who suggested the change in the categories which allowed Mr Cardle 27 years old to join the boys category. Last year he would have been in the overs.

But after 3 star performances it was time for the double elimination. As you might remember we lost the first boy Nicolo this way who instantly was booted off the show. Tonght the controversial Wagner left along with Katie who was in bottow two 4 times of the live shows. Mary survived the sing off so now she, Matt, One Direction, Cher and Rebecca will start to prepare for the big time - the Semi Final next week.

Matt really rocked on Rock week!
Last boy standing had a good spot in the running order and first took on 'I love rock n' roll' which he cleary does. It's no secret that Matt's a big fan of this weeks theme and Louis was a big fan of his performance:

Cheryl enjoyed it as well and said

There’s so much love for you out there

Simon was giving out positive reviews too and told Matt that he was very very good.

I thought that’s what you call living the dream!

But the goosebumps and the performance of the night (ever on XF?) was his last song which was by Moody blues - Nights in white satin. It was back to being just Matt and his guitar. Once again the crowd went mad as did the judges. Louis first:

Matt all I can say is it doesn’t get any better than that! Brilliant song
choice.

Cheryl said it was the best he has ever been:

This is when you’re at your best for me, I love it when you sit there with your guitar and sing so beautifully. That for me, was my favourite performance of yours ever

Simon was really impressed and said:

One of the best versions that I’ve ever heard. I loved the little kick in theair which shows that you are pushing for it, trying to win the competition. It was absolutely genius

Dannii was the lady in red, gorgeous as ever and you could tell she has given it all for her last boy of Team Minogue 2010.
The Team Captain said that this song is something that she could see him record.

It's been a tough week for Matt in the press but on Xtra Factor Dannii who was bigged up a little bit again, said that it's part of the game and that Matt isn't the only one to suffer from bad press. But Matt also fought a sore throat an even missed rehearsals because he wasn't feeling well so for him it was double the pressure. The painter/decorater said he wants to win it for Dannii and for Team Minogue.

Tomorrow there's a double elimination which of course is making everyone nervous because this is it. Will Matt make it to the final?

Musik ska byggas utav glädje, av glädje bygger man musik. Iconic words by iconic Swedish singer Lill Lindfors who some of you might remember her performing on ESC 1985. It means that music should be built out of joy and out of that joy is how the music is born.

There has to be passion for music to come alive, and passion is something that Dannii and her last boy standing Matt have in common. Like his mentor people react to him whether it's his voice or his vest.

Yes a big talking point this week was the vest Matt had on him during his performance. It was a simple vest yet it made people react as if it had satanistic message or any other strange meaning to it. And it was actually just a result of no one being able to decide what he was going wear. Last week X Factor peaked at almost 18 million and lets see if this weeks show can take it even higher. The theme is Rock week which might attract even more to watch it. Maybe even RATM fans. X Factor already has a legend avaliable if a judge is needed. Gene Simmons from Kiss told British Press that he is better than Dannii, Louis, Cheryl and Simon put together.

I think I could be the sole judge on The X Factor, I’m more qualified than anybody on the show.

Fran from Travis also dissed the format, saying it's worse than Eurovision.

Today Daily Star said it's all fixed for Cheryl and one of her girls to win to secure her a place in the American X Factor. According to the paper both Dannii and Lou-Lou are upset with the xtra special treatment their fellow judge is getting.

In this weeks video diary Matt set the record straight on being outspoken. He said that seeing his boys leave made him a bit angry and that he is genueliy sorry if he offended anyone.
Matt's a bit of a perfectionist and he never seems to be happy with his performances. So also this one.

He is looking forward to Rock week which was announced on The F Factor. The ITV.com weekly show gives a sneak preview of the theme and it was also a kind of reunion for Team Minogue with Paije's x-it interview and Nicolo popping up.

Oh no. We've lost another boy! Last weekend Aiden got booted out of the show and the bad luck continued as the viewers saw Paije leaving the show tonight.

The soul man was in the bottom two with Cher and after their sing-off the judges minus Dannii saved Cher and Paije's journey came to an end. Paije was cool with it tohugh and said he's enjoyed being on the show and is looking forward to what comes next.

On Xtra Factor Dannii was asked how it felt to have lost two of her boys two weeks in a row to which she brilliant replied. "It feels like shit".
Well, what else is there to say..?

He'll be on the X Factor live tour and will Aiden. The Blackpool hunk was a guest on Xtra Factor and is backing Matt. Paije backs his team brother as well and Rebecca.

But it wasn't all sadness on the show. Team Minogue was reunited as Aiden and Nicolo joined the gang for th eprformance of 'Heroes'. The charity single supporting the Help for heroes charity is out now on iTunes.

With only Matt left to battle with Dannii has another tough week ahead of her. She and Matt will work out two sings that he will perform. The theme is yet to be revelaed but Brian Friedman said that the contestants will all sing 2 songs each. So that's 14 songs for next week.

7th live show

It's been hard day's night and Dannii and her boys have been working like dogs for the Beatles themed week.
It was a bitch fight on tonight's X Factor and tonight no judge sided with one another.

Bad slot again for Team Minogue. Out first was Matt who probably was punshied for his comments earlier this week about the show and how he felt let down as he lost Aiden.
Matt rocked the stage in a sexy vest showing a different side to him as he took on 'Come together' by the Beatles.
Louis was first to comment and didn't quite 'get' Matt's performance.

A great song choice, but there was something missing in the performance tonight Matt, I think you can do an awful lot better

Cheryl disagreed with the Irish man and gave the musician a big compliment by saying:

I’ve a sneaky feeling that we will see you still here in a few weeks in the final.

Simon wasn't impressed with the sexy look for Matt but wasn't too harsh on him either.

Particularly the last part of the song, I thought the vocals were fantastic

Proud mentor Dannii told her boy that he every girl would want to take him to their bedrooms and added

That performance was absolutely dripping. You are a star Matt.

Then came Paije and Simon looked almost embarrest as he praised the soul man for his brilliant performance of 'Let it be'. Of course he owuld, wouldn't he? Last weekend he told Paije that he had zero chance of winning the competiton.
But first to give comments was Louis and this time he compared the 20 year old to Marvin Gaye.

You can win the competition if you keep working like this, you’ve got your mojo back.

Cheryl said that being just Paije is fine as it is.

To me you were just you, just a little you. There is something really angelic and beautiful about the performance and I thoroughly enjoyed you tonight, Well done

And then there was Simon. Porr Si was almost a little bit red-faced as he said:

I probably was a little bit rude but I do stand by what I said last week, but based on that performance , you couldn’t have won. Having said that you’ve come back with a brilliant song, performed it very very well and it was a million times better than last week.

Dannii was beaming with pride.

Paije I just want to start off by saying Happy Birthday, this year you went from being a teenager to being the big 20. You came into this competition as the wildcard still standing my friend, brilliant performance, soul man voice, You’re loveable and huggable and I want to squeeze you tight!

Dannii who looked D-vine in Gucci made some enimies and she finally told the truth about the cuties that are One Direction.

I’ve always given you good comments, I just have to say tonight you guys were struggling on the backing vocals and you didn’t know when you were coming in or out. Don’t let the other guys down, if you’re going to work as a group, you have to work as a group.

And she wasn't the only one to make enimies. Things started to heat up as Cheryl confronted Wagner about something she read it in the papers. The Brasilian defended himself saying it wasn't true but Cheryl was having none of that and it all went terrible awkward.

The official line up of the tour has been announced and the bromance between Matt & Aiden (also known as MAiden) will live on. Maybe the boys will even get to duet together which is high up on their wish list.

Dannii was amazing. So lovely. Such a sweetheart. She was always there if you needed anything. Advice, chocolate a sofa to relax on. She was awesome.

But fans will get to see Aiden before the tour starts as he's got 'loads' of gigs planned.

They need somebody and not just anybody!

Yes, it's Beatles week on X Factor this weekend. The legendary band has just been released on iTunes! this week and now you will get to see Dannii's boys take on some of their hits. They've got 6 more contestants to battle with now and they're both feeling down and they do appreciate everyone being around.

Help is also a word associated with the weekends fun. A few weeks ago the gang got together and recorded the annual charity single in aid of the Help For Heroes charity. This year it's a cover of David Bowie's 'Heroes'. They're all preparing to perform the single on Sunday's result show and Matt & Paije met up with some of Britains heroes yesterday.

In their video diaries both boys were talking about the sad x-it of Aiden. Especially Matt, who has a bromance with the Blackpool boy, saying he will miss him like a leg. The musician said he had a wicked time last weekend and that this weekend will be 'odd' and 'weird'.

Paije turned 21 a few days ago was really happy with his 'A-mazing' week as well.
He was upset with Simon's negative feedback but said that having Dannii supporting him giving him 'lots of love' there helped him through it.

The double elimination rumour is back. This time it's Mary who's the source and since it's coming from a contestant, maybe this time it's for real. This means that one contestant will be booted out in a flash, just like Nicolo was, and then a sing off where the second one will go.

Tony Cowell asked tweeters 'who is the fairest X Factor judge this year' yesterday on his own twitter site. The result is in today and Dannii was tweeters No 1 judge with 85% of the votes.

Cowell said he would present the result on his radio show 'Cowell Confidential' on Real radio.

Last year Simon made a lot of enimies with fans of Team Minogue as he voted out Lucie Jones over Jedward. This year Dannii's got the boys, a category which she took to the winning spot on her first series of X Factor and her boys are as loyal as their mentor.

During the weekend viewers were shocked to see Katie who's been in the bottom two 4 times now, saved, and Aiden who's never been in the bottom 2 until now, was sent home.
Aiden and Matt are best mates and their bromance is welknown to fans of the show.
Today Matt speaks up about losing his friend and why he is shocked over Simon's decision. About Aidens x-it he says:

I'm shocked and devastated. It is like losing a brother. I was surprised by the result. When it went to Katie and Aiden in the bottom two, I didn't think he would go. Even when it went to deadlock I thought he would stay

The musician also raised the question about X Factor being a singing competition or a popularity contest by saying:

I knew Dannii and Louis would vote for Aiden but I was shocked when Simon sent him home, but then Katie is better for the show than Aiden is.
She gets the coverage, she gets the show attention. Aiden just isn't like that but he is a much better singer.

Katie survived 4 times already and could survive even more times?

It depends who is in the bottom two with her. I think there would be uproar if say someone like Rebecca was pushed out in favour of Katie.
I think then they would have to get rid of her. But I don't feel safe in the competition after this. Anything can happen.Everyone in the house is gutted. No one expected this.

With Simon being more smug than ever fans of Dannii and her boys are ready to get him out of the competition by voting for Team Minogue. The dream scenario is to have both boys in the final together with Rebecca.

Dannii already won the weekends battle by humiliating Cowell with a simple question. "What are the namea of One Direction?" Simon couldn't name his boys and messed up...twice. Cheryl was cheering on Dannii for xposing the head judge.

The reason that Dannii asked him this was because of Cheryl. During The Xtra Factor Simon had told Cheryl that she was childish and Dannii reacted by asking him a question which she of course knew he would fail to answer.

Mr Smug also told her boy Paije that he had zero chance of winning this competition. Early on in the show he had criticized the soul man for not dressing the part.

Will Simon go after Dannii on the 7th live show, will Matt be punished for his comments and will Paije make Cowell eat his words?

Aiden ready to go solo

Sadly Aiden had to leave the show yesterday. Blackpool's finest lad was in the bottom two against Katie and once again Cheryl's girl survived the battle.

The mighty fine boy was on breakfast TV talking about his x-it, his future plans. At the sing off he admitted he was terrified hence why he kept jumping during his song.

I was scared.
I hadn't really sang that song many times, I did my best, I had a jump around

Yesterday he got his beer and today his spirit is up and he's feeling a little bit more positive about what will come next.

It is an amazing platform, I've never pretended to be like ...
I don't think of myself as an X Factor fella, I'm lucky to get as far as
I have.

And Aiden is a big fan of his mentor.

Dannii has been amazing, literally the whole way through. She's always there, always on the phone. If I was hungry she'd take me to one of the dressing rooms and feed me chocolate.

When he appeared on This Morning he said that although it ws hard to deal with being booted out, he would like to continue his music journey, write some songs and go solo. Aiden reckons he's got a big advantage now that he's been seen by 14 million people. Dannii is known for her loyalty and her boys are no different. Aiden refused to put the blame on anyone else and when he was asked about Wagner and Katie still being in the competition he said that it's all down to the voting and had no further comment.

But he is backing Matt all the way. The pair had a bromance on the show and fans call the two boys Maiden and Aiden said that he'd like to see his bezzie mate win with his a-mazing voice. He also praised Dannii again for being there for him, helping him deal with the negative stuff.

So now there's only two boys left. Matt has expressed a wish to be in the final with Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder. The favourite is also a fan of Race Against The Machine.
But it's safe to say that these dreams probably won't have a chance of coming true on The X Factor.

6th result show

And then they were 2. It was a sad night for Team Minogue and their captain as we said goodbye to Aiden who left the competition in a shock elimination.

Paije was said to be the one who would leave tonight and fans were voting like mad for Dannii's boy to keep him on the show. But instead Aiden was the one in danger and found himself in the bottom two with Katie. Katie who's been in the bottom two 4 times now was shock-horror saved again - but this time by the public. Sadly Aiden got less vote than Cheryls girl and it was bye bye.

Aiden wasn't surprised. He has heard the rumour via a text from his mate and when asked what he wanted to do next he just said he wanted to have a beer.

Simon voted for Katie to stay but on Xtra Factor he told viewers that aiden shouldn't be too upset and compared the Blackpool guy to Superstar Jennifer Hudson from American Idol who went on and became a worldwide star after her elimination.

There were celeb guest on Xtra Factor as well and Westlife were backing Aiden over Katie as were JLS and Matt is still a big favourite as is Rebecca. But according to Seal Wagner could be a big rival to the talents. That is if the viewers are voting for entertainment.

Mentor Dannii was just as surprised to see her boy go and said she felt responsible for losing him, not doing a good enough job with him.

The contestants are now 8 and Paije & Matt will be part of the X Factor live tour which kicks off next year.

6th live show

"It's alright for fighting tonight isn't it?" Dannii was on fire tonight! It's Elton John week at X Factor camp and camp it was.
Many agreed that the performance order was unfair with Dannii's boys all coming on early on in the show.

First up again, was Paije. He sang 'Crocodile rock' and it wasn't off to a good start. Performing and rocking the stage with strong vocals, it didn't impress the judges at all and it was war the minute Louis made his comments.

She (Dannii)turned you into a karaoke singer and you’re better than this, you’re a soul man. It just didn’t work.

Simon wasn't too happy with Paije and told him he doesn't have the slightest bit chance of winning this competition.

I would say it is fun but I would put your chances of winning after that at 0. Because you just can’t compete with some of the big singers right now with a song like that. I think Dannii has put more work into the other singers because you wouldn’t have Matt singing Crocodile Rock

However Cheryl admitted she wasn't familiar with the song but said

I think you made it your own thing. i thought you had fun.

Right after it was Aidens turn. Mr Quiff owned the stage as he walked on the pianos to his song which was 'Rocket man'. The judges were easier on him.

You’re always different, never predictable and I like the song choice Dannii. It was spot on and you know what, if Elton is watching, he would love that performance. I know that.

Louis told him. Cheryl liked it as well.

I love that you’re really consistently good. You always deliver a really good performance so well done

Simon told him that altohugh he didn't sound his best, he has nothing to worry about.

You have great presence. I like your swagger, the fact that you changed the melody and the fact that you walked all over the pianos. I think you’re going to be fine next week, well done.

Last up also again was Matt. Mr Cardle who was renamed Cuddle by his team captain got up on stage and gave a sneak preview what he would be like a solo artist perhaps at a tour? Once again he nailed his song and gave it 150% when he sang 'Goodbye Yellow brick road'. Louis is a big fan of the musician and said:

You never let me down, you’re a real singer it’s a real performance, there’s no tricks, you are the one everybody has to beat.

Cheryl was xcited as well and added

Another fantastic performance you keep getting stronger and stronger.

Simon as usual picked up on the negative bit but gave some praise for his performance by saying

I could feel your nerves at the beginning and then suddenly you went up a gear and I could have listened to another two or three minutes of that.

The judges were all on fire tonight. Dannii and Louis kept nagging and joking with each other. When Louis said Wagner looked like a young Elton John everyone started laughing and cheering.
The fun contined on Xtra Factor which was a little bit different tonight. The judges were sat at their table and the callers were shown on the wide screen, just like the contestants. Dannii finally owned Simon when she asked Mr Cowell if he could name all of his boys...It turns out that he couldn't!
Could this be the end of uncle Simon and his boys Harry, Olly, Dancer, Dancer, Prancer...

Stacey Solomon, the bronze medalist of X Factor 2009 is getting familiar with Dannii's home country. She's off to participate in the ITV reality TV show 'I'm a celebrity - get me out of here!' which kicks off on the telly right after the result show of XF.

It's been one of the most dramatic weeks of the shows history and it's about to cause an even bigger stir as it's once again rumoured to be a double elimination on Sunday's show.
The rumour of a 5th judge is also back and with 3 boybands visiting the show, including forever XF associated Robbie Williams, the producers have many to pick from.

With only 9 contestants left, Team Minogue's captain could find her boys in the bottom 2 this week. The theme is Elton John and the boys been buzzing about their songs. But they already got a huge rush when they went to the premiere of the new Harry Potter movie - and the Deathly Hallows.

The fact is that one of them is actually in the movie. Paije has been a featured extra since the fifth film and revealed in his video diary that you see him more in the next film to come, rather than this current one.

Dannii's boys couldn't be happier over having Dannii as their mentor. Last week Paije spoke about the-little-boundle-of-joy Ethan and this week Matt & Aiden are both praising and thanking Dannii for being there for them.

Aiden said his mentor was a great support to him last week when he changed the song and Matt explained that its because Dannii and her team that they're all doing well. She's doing such a wonderful job, Matt said and they're all so appreciative of her being there.

It was 3 cheery and xcited boys in this weeks video diaries. It's Elton John week and the boys can be seen goofing around in Elton-glasses on this weeks F Factor.
Paije, Aiden and Matt also attended the Pride Of Britain Awards and last night they shared the stage with a little hero boy as well as thier mentor and her fellow judges. Paije handed out tickets to the live shows for the lucky one.

Can one of them win and who would that be? Our job is to see all 3 of them at the very end battling it out with the lovely Dannii as the winning judge. And she's got it in the bag. At least if you ask Ollie the octopus who predicted that she's the winner of Series 7. Video here.

All the boys said they were sad to see TreyC go and they weren't alone. Since the Sunday result show which had a peak of almost 17 million viewers, everyone has been talking about the outcome, Cheryl refusal to vote and the rules of the game.

Dannii's reaction to X Factor eviction

Since Cheryl refused to vote on which of her two girls Katie and TreyC she wanted to stay on X Factor, this is what everyone has been talking about.
Did she do the right thing? And why didn't it go to deadlock etc etc.

Dannii defends her fellow judge and told ITN that she understands how difficult it was for Cheryl and that she probably would have done the same thing.

There are constantly news reprots saying that the two ladies don't get along. Completely rubbish says Dannii who brought her little prince with her at the Pride Of Britain Awards last night.

There's a lot said, saying there's all this fighting and stuff and it's not true. When I came in with Ethan [Cheryl] was just like: "Oh my God!"
She just cooed over him and he gave her such a big smile.

He's such a good baby. I'm lucky and just loving it. I think everyone at work can see that there's just this inner happiness in me.

All the contestants were there and you will be able to them on ITV1 tomorrow evening.

5th result show

Whoah, we're half way there!
Almost. Next week Dannii's 3 boys will be part of the 6th live show which will be a Elton John themed week filled with a boyband special.

Paije, Aiden & Matt all made it through and it was a shock night for the girls. Cheryl had both Katie and TreyC in the botton two. The girls sang for their lives and after it, Cheryl refused to vote. 'Ask these two (Dannii & Louis) and then I'll send it to deadlock' the judge said. Simon voted for TreyC to be sent home but she was saved by Dannii with Louis sending home TreyC . Strangely enough it was TreyC that had to leave the show without a deadlock leaving everyone at confused.com.

During the live shows Dannii was telling TreyC to find herself. Anyone can see that TreyC is lost when it comes to her music persona. She can sing but she has no identity. But she sang better in the sing off and that's what Dannii voted for.

5th live show

Something was off on tonights show. Everyone looked like they were about to cry. Even if they did, the viewers probably couldn't hear it with the audience drowning out every human sound in the room. Especially Dannii's. As a tweeter observed: The Xfactor audience is drowning out Dannii on purpose.

Dannii has had her share of fish from haters in the U.K. But that doesn't stop her from shining and once again Dannii continues with her constructive way of giving her comments. Louis's Mary almost fell a part on stage which the lovely D instantly picked up on and Mary wasn't the only one to suffer on the very intensed night.

First up of the boys was Aiden. He had been given 'Nothing compares to you' and didn't have more than 24 hours to learn the routine. Still he managed to pull off another captivating performance and got a lot of praise for his song.
According to tabloid News Of The World Aiden is upset with his song choices and hits out at Dannii in tomorrows paper.

Next up was Paije and even the soul man was appearing to be somewhat down. Nevertheless he came out of his comfort zone and really lifted up the night with a funky mix of his songs, moving around the stage, enjoying it.
Simon told him that it was the best performance he has made so far.

Last of the boys was Matt and when he sang his song there wasn't a dry eye in the room. Dannii explained that the song has a special meaning for the musician and after his performance he got a standing ovation from all the judges. The first one of this series. Together with Cheryl's Rebecca who also had a flawless performance, he stole the show.

Dannii's boys walked the red carpet for their first time, tasting a bit of fame. Paije, Matt & Aiden attended Cosmopolitans Ultimate Women Of The Year and the lads posed for the photographers and met some fans.

On their video diaries this week the boys said they are looking forward to tonight. Matt is still sad to see others go and is finding it hard to get used to the elimination part of the game. The musician still isn't satified with his performances and hopes tonights is going to be much better.

Paije is adopting his mentors love for the word A-mazing. Still on high of the performance he did last weekend, the singer also revealed a fashion past. But his passion for singing took over and now that's what he wants to do.

Aiden got a bit of fish for his performance of 'Thriller' last weekend but also he enjoyed it and said that he'd rather make it new then to just copy Michael Jackson the way he did it. He is also a fan of Wagner who he says is hilarious.

Another member of the Wagner Fan club is Robert Pattinson. Last year he was invited by the team captain but couldn't attend the show. The Twilight star is a huge fan of the show and told media he got another invite by the X Factor judge and hopes to be there for the final show.

Tonight on the 5th live show it's American night on X Factor with 'American Anthems' as the theme. A lot of songs were revealed early on this week but Team Minogue somehow manages to keep their songs a secret.

Dannii's comments is another thing to look forward to. Last weekend fans caught her quoting Aussie comedians Kath & Kim and whenever she says something that goes against everything else she is forced to explain her actions. But the punchbag of the show doesn't worry too much about their reaction. "They know I'm right" she joked last week.

On Sunday there's a Minogue double bill as Dannii's popstar sister is visiting the show. Kylie will sing and will Dannii? Fans are eager for the dance diva to perform on the show. According to Metro she said that she'd love to, if she has to guts to do it. As the lady would say 'Watch this space!'

Updated! Matt is interviewed in this weeks X magazine and he has only good things to say about his mentor.

Dannii’s been amazing with us, she’s such a sweetheart. She’s so supportive and very hands-on.

Dannii has been having fights with the X Factor stylist over Matt and his hat. The stylist dont want to Matt to use it but Matt loves his hat. As his fans says, it's his thing.

The musician is also mates with Aiden and they're doing their best to take care of newbie Paije.

With Paije coming in as a wildcard, we’ve been trying to look after him as much as possible, and me and Aiden are really tight. But it’s not just because we’re in the same category – I’d have the same connection with Aiden if he was in the Boys and I was in the Overs. He’s just a cool, cool lad.

This week it's not Rock week as previously stated. Instead it's Ballad week. No it's not ballads either, because thanks to fans who've tipped aobut The F Factor on the ITV XF site, it's now confirmed to be American Anthems. Fans are busy preparing what they think the boys and everyone else should sing on the big night.

Dannii is adored by the boys but also by the girls. And not just any girls. Girls Aloud singer Kimberely Walsh is supporting her boys but is also fond of the judge herself. A few years ago there was a feud between Dannii and Girls Aloud and the media wrote about their comments to each other. But that's all in the past now according to Kimberely who writes in her coloumn in OK! magazine this week:

It really seems like Dannii has mellowed and warmed over the years. She's always really friendly and lovely when I see her at The X Factor.

Back in the early days of Girls Aloud, the press created a feud between us and Dannii - in truth there wasn't a great vibe between us all back then but it got completely blown out of proportion and we didn't really know her at all. You shouldn't really judge someone from one meeting.

Dannii wants to stay

Media have left The Axe Factor. Instead they're going for The X-it Factor. Last week there were reports saying that Dannii wants to leave the show. Aussie reports also suggested that she would head back home.

Now Dannii has spoken about the rumours and she says that if it was up to her, she's not going anywhere.
She loves the show which she has been a part of since 2007 and says she is learning so much from working with Simon Cowell.

This year Team Minogue has joined Team Walsh and Disco and Lou-Lou are supporting each other on the show. When Jay Kay who slagged the glam girls performed with his band, they were playing noughts & crosses at the judges' table. Louis is also a fan of Dannii's style and stirs it up a bit by saying that Dannii has won the 'Style War' this year.

Someone who might agree with that is Italian designer Valentino who made a surprise visit to the Style Queen dressing room on Sunday's show.

Dannii's boys survived another weekend! Paije got called out first, then Aiden and last to be saved was a very nervous Matt. Matt was a cover story of News Of The World today and all of the boys were tipped for bottom 2. But the viewers has love for the talented 3 so off they go to next week which is said to be Rock week with Dannii's pop star sister Kylie Minogue as one of the guests.

She and the rest of next weeks guest stars will probably be professional unlike tonight's Jay Kay. The singer of Jamiroquai told The Sun earlier this week that both Dannii and Cheryl were fu**ing useless and the two ladies weren't the slightest bit impressed with his comments and showed a united front as he performed. He didn't get as much a clap or a standing ovation from the glam girls but Dannii did laugh at him from her chair.

The other guests did get standing ovations, one of them being Bon Jove who performed 'Livin' on a prayer' together with Dannii's boys and the rest of the gang.

X Factor does Halloween.
It was a spooky night with the show celebrating the Halloween holiday. The official date is tomorrow October 31 but viewers got a taste of the scary weekend on tonight's show.

Dannii's boys had 3 big songs and the nerves were xtremely high tonight.
First out was Aiden who sang Michael Jacksons 'Thriller' And there has probably never been a version like the one he did before. However the judges wasn't too impressed with his slower Halloween dark twilight inspired performance but mentor Dannii picked him right up by saying:
"Aiden, Halloween is here!"

Next up and even more nervous than Aiden was his buddy Matt. He was given 'Bleeding love' famous by X Factors Leona Lewis and at first he couldn't deal with his nerves. At the end of the song Matt grew with it and belted it out putting his stamp on it as his mentor would say. The judges felt his insecurity and said that it wasn't a good week for the musician. Dannii disagreed and defended her boy:
"I’m absolutely blown away with the other comments. You sang that incredibly, the notes in that were so extraordinary, I dare any other guy to sing that song. Did you guys arrive on broomsticks tonight? What is going on?"

Last up was Paije. He likes divas and in his VT he sohuld that he might have a big smile but there's no puppet living in him. Simon Cowell has been commeting on his wardrobe and on that Paije said that Mr Smug is the last one to give advice on that department. The soul man stepped out on stage and sang 'Back to black' by Amy Winehouse delivering a flawless vocal performance.
Maybe the judges did arrive on broomsticks because you could feel the tension in the air. The game is on and they all want to win.

During the night Dannii made a comment to Cheryl Cole's girl TreyC saying that she still doesn't know who she is as a performer and what her album would be like. TreyC didn't like to be critisized at all and told Dannii that being versatile isn't a bad thing.
Dannii also told Simon's girls Belle Amie that she didn't like their vocals tonight on their version of 'Venus'.

Is Dannii the new Simon, the new nasty judge? She is the only honest judge, that most people agree on. And maybe she is the new Simon but in a different way. He was nasty, Dannii is truthful.

But tonight the x men were in the shadow of the glam girls because Dannii & Cheryl chatted through out the performances and when tomorrow performer Jay Kay from Jamiroquai popped up on the screen in front of them the two grand dames of prime TV both turned to each other shaking their heads.

Dannii's boys did well despite nervous, but it was Cheryl's Cher who stole the night with 'Stay'. To see theirs and the rest of the gangs performances, log on to The X Factor on the tube.

Team captain Dannii and her crew always stick together and who ever joins her team knows that she'll do anything for them.

Ruth from TM class of 2008 is planning her upcoming release. The rockerita is very fond of her former mentor who she now calls a sister. In an interview Ruth spoke about her and D's relationship.

Dannii is like a sister to me. I was showing her my songs one day and she fell in love with one of them called Coz You’re Beautiful. She fell in love with that and because I have so many songs I said “Listen, you want to keep it? Fine!”
I’d love Dannii to record an album, I think Dannii needs to sing again. People don’t realise what a good singer she is. I’d love people to see.

I said to her, this song you can give it a try. She was like “It’s a great song, it’s really catchy and commercial. Are you sure you don’t want it?” and I said, “Well, it’s my song. If I want it, I can make a version of it. But go ahead and try it.” And she did, she loved it. So she kept it. And I’m still writing for her

She still gives me advice today. I was there with her yesterday at the launch of her perfume. She’s a beautiful person, in and out. She gets along well with everybody, with all the judges. But she keeps herself to herself. She concentrates on her profession and trying to do the best. She’s very focused

Matt from the current TM is also very fond of his mentor. Matt's had a bit of bad press but says he can always count on Dannii being there for him as well as the rest of the gang.

She is really, really caring and supportive.

Matt has many fans both from the little people and from the celeb world. Former X Factor winner Shayne Ward is backing Matt to win and most people says it's going to be between him & Rebecca this year.

Someone who is not a fan of our X Factor judge is Jamiroquai's Jay Kay. In today's Sun he is reportedly slamming both glam girls saying Dannii & Cheryl are useless.

What are they going to tell me about f****** music?
What the f***. When have you ever done anything? You're useless. The pair of you. I mean you look great and I'd like to f****** s**g you but that's all.

X Factor is the biggest thing on TV right now. Everyone wants to be a judge or a contestant and kids are no different.

In Ireland there's 'Who Are You Kidding?', an entertainment reality TV show.
The young judges have been dubbed mini-me versions of the X Factor panellists and for Saibh Downes Banda that's a real honour.

I always get compared to Dannii and she's my favourite judge.
I just think she is very honest, she is always smiling and lets people take their time

This year there's an Xtra on the set of the show. Dannii's little prince, Ethan, is the main attraction and everyone wants to spend time with the little one. It's also making the females broody and according to reports Mezhgan Hussainy is now wanting a baby of her own. Sources says that she has fallen in love with Ethan.

From mini to major. Dannii's boys are all still very much in the game and all 3 of them want a chance of winning the title.

In this weeks video diaries Matt says he was sad to see John go. The hat.lover also revealed that he's got a big song to live up to.

Aiden calls his song 'massive' and that he doesn't think Cheryl Cole will like his performance because it will probably be another intense one.

Paije says his is A-mazing and fun. When asked if he will be wearing a jacket he said that there will be no jacket. Instead he will be wearing a cape.

The boys dressed up last night in time for Halloween as Xtra Factor took the gang to London Dungeon.

At yesterdays tea party at Harvey Nichols where Dannii and business partner and friend Tabitha Somerset-Webb was launching their latest Project D collection along with the fragrance, Dannii spoke a bit about X Factor.

Speaking to Daily Telegraph she said

I'm the punchbag of the show. They disagree with everything I say because they know I'm right.

The judges are at war with each other and dannii is reportedly having enough. But on yesterdays Steve Wright chat the judge said that she still loves the show and that she always misses it when she goes back home to Australia.

This weeks theme is said to be Halloween.

Louis: 'Dannii & Cheryl can't sing'

It's no surprise that Louis Walsh is once again slamming Dannii. This time he goes after both glam girls saying neither of them can't sing. With Cheryl the viewers still don't know if she can. Last night Dannii's fellow judge appeared on the show performing her new single but she didn't sing it live. It was pre-recorded miming.

Dannii has been critizied herself for not being able to carry off a tune. Mostly due to the fact that she never had a no 1 in the sales single charts. Our diva has never appeared as a performer on X Factor so viewers have little knowledge on her vocals as well.

So perhaps Louis is seeing a perfect opportunity to continue the fight of getting the crown of this years X Factor. After his Mary had performed her guilty pleasure o nthe show Dannii suggested that it was time to give the singer a more current song. Something new and fresh. Even Simon Cowell agreed.
Today Lou-Lou replies to that and told an Irish paper:

I know exactly what I'm doing. It's about pleasing the public and not pleasing the three judges because they don't have a vote.

In the case of Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole, Mary can sing them both under the table.

Louis has confused fans of the show a little bit by telling Xtra Factors Konnie Huq that he doesn't think Mary will win. Matt will he said. Tactics by Lou-Lou?

Matt does have a lot of support but will it be enough to take him all the way?
Closing in on him are Rebecca and One Direction and with 6 live shows left, could there be a dark horse coming up?

Yay for Dannii and her Team Minogue!
Her boys all made it through to the live show next week.

First it was Aiden, then Matt and last boy to have his name called out was Paije. Paije had 'the kiss of death' by being given the 1st slot of the performances and being the first one out has never been a lucky thing - until now!

In the bottom two were Cheryl's TreyC and Louis's John.
They both sang to fight for their position and in the end John was the one who had to leave the show.

Dannii looking more gorgeous by the minute, was a all class in a dress from D&G.

BOYS MATT CARDLE, 27
He's doesn't believe how good he is.
He's been doing this for a while so he knows about performing but not at this level. He needs to start being more star-like and more confident.

AIDEN GRIMSHAW, 17
He's another one that could be tested with different themes that aren't his style. But he's made his mark as an individual.

PAIJE RICHARDSON, 19
He charged the emotions from his grandmother's death into his song this week. He sang it from the heart. With a lot of them we've seen the voice and need to discover the personality.

Dannii says that Aiden reminds her a bit of Elvis and she doesn't mean the quiff factor.

If he was playing concerts, he would flow his songs in different ways.

I think with the intensity there is something of Elvis.
He had that kind of intensity.

He has the whole singing and dancing thing happening like Elvis Presley.

3rd live show

For the 3rd live show Dannii walked in on the stage wearing a new Victoria Beckham dress and once again holding hands with Louis Walsh.

Dannii was more spot on than ever with her comments on the actual theme which a lot seem to have misunderstood. The judges found it difficult to explain how songs by Led Zeppelin, The Pretenders and Pink could be called guilty pleasures.

First up was Dannii's boy Paije. He sang a chill-out version of Chaka Khans 'Ain't nobody' and not once did he mention his personal drama during the week.

Next was Matt who appeared with his guitar singing Britney's 'Hit me baby one more time' and last out of the boys was Aiden. His song was 'Diamonds are forever' which he performed in the Artic Monkeys style.

Was it enough to see them all through tomorrow? They all got great responses but once again fans worry over Aiden who got a bad edit on his recap clip and Paije for being the first man out.

When it comes to the judges Simon Cowell actually sided with Dannii a couple of times which surprised the viewers. Usually Mr Smug is hard on the lovely Dannii but tonight it was Lou-Lou who got most of the fish.

According to early reports that is the theme of the week. Danniis boys songs are not yet know and for Paije it might be irrelevant. His grandmother just died and yesterday he pulled out of the rehearsals to head home to his family. No word yet if he will sing on Saturdays show.

Aiden and Matt are bezzie mates at the X Factor camp and fans have posted pics of themselves meeting the two lads out and about in London.
Aiden dubbed his performance as 'rubbish' but got through the 2rd result show and appears to have a strong fanbase aready.

Same goes for Matt. His version of Bruno Mars's 'Just the way you are' helped the sales of the the original song increase with 80% and on YouTube over a million tubers have located Matt's glorious version. Matt has been spotted with his guitar during the week. Will it appear along with his hat on Saturday?

When it comes to the judges they're all competitive. Of course they are and Dannii's the most competitive of them all. So says Joe McElderry of XF class 2009 and he is backing Dannii's boy Matt as well as Cheryl Cole's girl Rebecca this year.

My money's on Matt and Rebecca this year

Another fan of the two contestants is Girls Aloud star and TV presenter Kimberely Walsh. She also says that all the reports about Dannii and Cheryl's rivalry (see this weeks gossip mags) is rubbish.

Cheryl and Dannii always look lovely, and they get on so well.
It's good the women are unites and arn't bitching - now if Louis could just stop, that would be great!

So yes, last but not least, Lou-Lou. Louis Walsh is a snake, that's common knowledge. Whenever he does a press interview he can't resist slating his co-judge(s) just a teeny bit. But on the live shows he and Dannii stick together as the team have been divided into Dannii/Louis and Simon/Cheryl.

He lost Storm and the X Factor reject said that he would have 'killed' to get Aidens song - Mad world'. Storm said that the song choice was brilliant.

Paije, Matt & Aiden all made it to the 3rd live show next week.

In the battle of the judges Dannii stuck with Team Walsh coming out hand in hand with the Irish Manager.

The show said goodbye to Louis's Storm and Simon Cowell isn't so smug today having had two of his acts fighting in the bottom two.

Between Diva Fever & Belle Amie the judges including Dannii saved the girlband and Diva Fever had to leave the show.

Cheryl Cole has all of her 4 girls left, Simon has 2 acts left, Louis has 3 and Dannii has her 3 boys.
And they all want to win the competition.

Just the way you are
Team Minogue's Matt stole the show tonight by hitting a high C of Bruno Mars's song 'Just the way you are'.

Paije was happy with his dancing girls and although he gave a pretty much perfect vocal performance, his fans was let down (again) by the styling. Especially the jacket.
"Why do they insist on dressing him in those horrible jackets? It's 2010 - not 1994..Hello!!"

Aiden had a tough week with his song and he sang John Lennon's 'Jealous guy'.
After his performance he wasn't happy at all and said it was 'rubbish'. But missing a few high notes didn't bother the judges too much who praised him still.

Speaking of jealous guy...Simon Cowell didn't do much tonight to hide his dislike for Dannii's comments and critisized everything she said. Good or bad. In the battle of the judges Dannii won hands down, looking divine in a Victoria Beckham dress, and wasn't afraid to voice her opinions.

When super-hyped contestant Cher Lloyd performed Dannii said that she did admire that Cheryl Coles' girl took a risk but that it didn't work for her this time.

Her comment was a surprise to the other judges and host Dermot O'Leary questioned her if she was sure about what she had said. She was - and later on Xtra Factor the subject came up again with Dannii sticking to her comment.

Dannii has often won polls, surveys and lately awards for being the best judge on the panel. Simon Cowell is the medias favourite judge but if it was up to the fans of the show, Dannii would be the head judge of the show. In fact many says she should leave it because she is too good for it.

The Flu Factor

There is a mysterious bug in the X Factor camp according to todays papers. The contestants like the rest of us have got a bit of a cold. Last weekend you could hear Dannii suffering from it a little bit and yesterday Simon called in sick.

Dannii's boys are eager for the night to start, with or without the flu. Paije is happy with his 'cool' performance with sexy dancers, Aiden says he's got a great song by a great artist but is however a slightly worried about not hitting the high note. Matt is pleased with his song and hopes that people with like him performing it.
Matt also paid a visit to his old school and he performed xclusively for the thrilled students.

The X Factor is a show that brings a lot of people together. When Dannii came onboard in 2007 you could hear about X Factor parties and other fun & games started by fans around the U.K.

'Don't underestimate Paije'

Simon Cowell says that Paije Richardsson might be a dark horse in the competition. At judges houses Dannii said

For me he’s the only one who knows who he is in the competition.

but at the end she decided not to take him on.

However, as a new feature on the show Simon decided to bring in 4 wildcards, one additional act for each juge and Dannii's 3 boys became 4.
Dannii lost one boy during the weekend, Nicolo Festa but Simon says that she's got a possible winner in her team.
Speaking to X Magazine the X Factor boss says that they've underestimated Paije.

With Paije being labelled a dark horse, Dannii's two other boys Matt Cardle & Aiden Grimshaw are early favourites and Matt's former band are feeling the touch of their bandmates X Factor. Matt's band Seven Summers is currently no.12 in Amazon's MP3 download chart, and no.31 in their MP3 album download chart.

The result are in and Nicolo Festa was the first to leave the competiton. With the 4 wildcards there is a new format with 1 contestant going instantly which sadly was the Italian tweeter and then 2 others have a sing off.
Also out was Simon Cowells group FYD who was in the bottom two with Cheryl Coles Katie Waissel, but was saved by Louis Walsh and Dannii.

On the show the judges were asked to pick their favourite and Dannii backs Louis's Mary saying.

Aiden takes Team Minogue to the top and we welcome another boy onboard - Paije Richardson.

For the first live show Dannii's boys were a bit nervous but on fire. Matt was the first one out doing 'When love takes over' and showed why he has been a big favourite duing this series. Although he looked a bit uncomfortable beingup there solo, he looked the audience in the eye and gave a strong vocal performance.

Next up was the new boy Paije. As part of the wildcards (they are 4) Dannii brought back the positive lad with the biggest smile in showbiz. He sang 'Killing me softly' and also proved the audience why he was picked.

Then there was Nicolo. He had been given Lady Gagas 'just dance' and tonight Nicolo wasn't in his comfort zone. Whe nhe was accused of being a diva the Italian boy replied 'I'm just normal'. His mentor backed him and even said that being Diva isn't a bad thing. (in which she is right)

And then last but not least, the biggest surprise of the night - Aiden!
With 'Mad world' he gave the audience a theatrical performance with dept and soul and it was almost like watching a movie. Because of that, Aiden has now climbed up as the favourite to win the show and was trending worldwide on twitter.

Aidens biggest competition could be Louis's Mary who gave a phenomenal performance, comletely different to what she has done before. Another one to look out for might be Cheryl Coles wildcard TreyC whos version of 'One' gave the viewers and the judges goosebumps. Boyband One Direction gave a solid performance as well so Dannii's boys will have to continue to step up to keep their place.

Kimberly Walsh from Girls Aloud thinks that Louis Walsh should keep his mouth shut.

Louis has said he wants Sharon to replace Dannii as she's his friend and Dannii's just an acquaintance. Out of respect to Dannii Louis probably shouldn't be saying that but he doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut, that's just what he's like, he's a nightmare!

And she reckons our girl is a great judge.

I thought Dannii was really good last year.
I agreed with her on a lot of things but she's just had a baby
so might want to take a bit of time out.

During the week Dannii also spoke about her and Sharon Osbournes feud.
She says she is over it and even praised the former X
Factor judge for being opinionated on the show.

Louis and Sharon are great friends and I thought it was brilliant
that she was there. Honestly, when I used to sit and watch the show,
I loved Sharon on it, I really did. I think it was just probably a mistake
that we ever met! As long as she's kept away from me, it's fine,
but I want to Louis to have his friendship with her and it's good now that Louis has his friendship with me that's not tainted by that.

She's a really explosive woman and she's very opinionated and that's
that you want when you bring someone to the judges home, you want someone that's really going to throw in some ideas of what they think is going to work

Matt Cardle is still the favourite to win and Dannii told radio DJ's around the country that she has belief in her boys.
Nicolo is already dubbed the new Rhydian and Dannii says that she really
thinks he can make it to the final even if people will ask themselves
'what the hell will he do next?'
Both Nicolo and Aiden have been goofing around on twitter but on Thurday
it became serious as the first rehearsals started.

Speaking @ the press launch the boys said they're nervous but excited.
Matt also said that he doesn't take the favouritism seriously. If he doesn't win well, then he still got his hat! The goal is of course to keep all 3 Team Minogue boys til the big final.

So prepare something tasty, pour youself a drink and sit back. The first show comes with a big twist and is approx 2.5 h long.

'Matt is Xtra special'

These words comes from Louis Walsh who backs Dannii's boy as the winner.
The Irish music manager and fellow X Factor judge told Hello! magazine that to be able to win the show, you need to be xtra special.

The winner is going to be the one with the most votes, but I think Matt has got something very special about him

Lou-Lou brought back Sharon Osbourne as his co-judge at judges houses and immediately said that Sharon is the better judge of the two of them.
Despite this, he praised Dannii as well.

Dannii is really hard working and she cares about her contestants and I've really seen another side of her. She cares about the acts.

This year she's got the boys. Even though she was off during her pregnancy she was very much involved and kept informed of everything that was going on

He also said that when it comes to being the X men vs the glam girls - nothing has changed.

Over 14 million tuned in last night to see the 4 judges pick their final 3 and the result angered quite a lot of viewers calling Dannii a racist for not picking any black acts and Cheryl Cole became a hate target for the picks she did.

Dannii greeted 8 lucky boys to her home country on the first episode of Judges houses earlier tonight.
The minute they arrived Dannii told them what she is looking for.

I’m so glad to be doing my Judges homes here finally. I’ve been wanting to do this for years. I wanted to tell you the important stuff. I’ve watched all of the auditions, good and bad. Perfection isn’t what we’re looking for at this stage, it’s the X Factor.

Karl Brown, Nicolo Festa, Aidan Grimshaw, Paije Richardson, Marlon McKenzie, Tom Richards, John Wilding and Matt Cardle were all eager to impress Dannii and fellow Aussie guest judge and X Factor judge Natalie Imbruliga.

First out was Nicolo. He sang Paloma Faith’s 'New York'. Next up was Tom with Robbie Williams 'Feel'. Paije got to sing 'True Colours' while John had to sing Take Thats 'Back for good'.

Then there was Karl who sang Plan B’s 'She Said' and after him Marlon got to sing Alicia Keys’ 'Empire State of Mind'.

Matt had the hardest song to sing, Beyoncés 'If I were a boy' and Aiden was the last boy out singing a David Grey song.

Dannii was back to her best looking through the boys immediately finding their strengths and weaknesses. With the help of Natalie she will now pick out 3 of these boys who all have their own Team Minogue t-shirt already.
But who will be her final 3?

On Xtra Factor Dannii got a proper welcome back and presents for baby Ethan.
Dannii told Konnie Huq that this year she is going to win The X Factor.

Dannii and Cheryl Cole are not the only ones who are coming back on tomorrows much anticipated show - the popular judges houses. Sharon Osbourne returns to The X Factor this weekend as Louis Walsh's guest judge to help the Irish music Manager pick out 3 from the over category.

Sharon famously left in 2008 because she couldn't stand to work next to the mosquito (her nick name for Dannii) and today she is quoted saying that she hasn't forgotten about their feud and that it's not over. She still loathes the 'insect' Dannii Minogue.

As Mail points out, When a fellow guest, actor David Boreanaz, asked if he could see a picture of Dannii, Sharon got off her seat and stuck out her backside.
To that Mrs O responds:

It was a joke. it was silly

In My story Dannii says that Sharon verbally attacked her for no reason. But Sharon's story is different.

When you take a line out of context, it doesn't read well. You need to know the whole thing before and after and what caused it. I don't just go in and scream at people, that's not what I do. It sounds much worse than it is

Daily Star has an xclusive with Dannii today where she talks all about The X Factor, the Mum Factor, the Style Factor and why she believes in her boys.
And she is ready to take on Cheryl Cole who has been the winning judge for the past two years.

Y’know, the other three judges – me and the boys – are just going to have to try to muscle in on that hat-trick.

I think she has got a good category and she knows what she is doing. She is good at her job. But the boys is an amazing category and I really feel like I am in with a chance.

Last year British media created a style war between the two female judges but this year Dannii isn't focusing on that part.

I have not been crazy about losing the baby weight because it is just important for me to concentrate on being a good mum right now.

I am completely unorganised. Much of being a new mum is that everything is thrown up in the air.
So I will be excited if I get out there with a frock that is on the right way and I haven’t got my shoes on my head.

This year she became a mother of baby Ethan and she told the paper that being a mentor to younger contestants was a great practice.

When I started the show I always felt maternal with the acts.
That is why I put in the extra time and extra effort and became friends with them.
People at work before I got pregnant were saying: ‘You would make a really good mum. It’s very natural for you.’
I think Ethan has got the benefit of me having flexed that maternal muscle.

As fans know by now, Dannii loves X Factor and everything about it.

I love the show and it is such a big part of my world now.
It has taken my life in a different direction and I am always thanking Simon for what he has done for my career and what I am able to do because of the show.
So it is something I really, really want to be involved in.

I can’t wait to get back in the saddle to sort that place out. Cheryl definitely needs another girl so we make sure Simon and Louis don’t take over.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! He’s got a really good voice but struggles with his nerves and it reminded me of Leon at my first judges’ homes.

He’s been to the show before but didn’t quite go through. Beautiful-looking guy, very good voice, it’s just where he sits within the music industry today.

Matt, 27, Essex
He’s not caught up in the circus of it all. He is just “I’m a normal bloke who sings.” He was good all through the auditions and boot camp.

Aidan, 18, Manchester
His first performance scared me. He’s got the loudest voice I’ve ever heard. And he’s got this very quirky way of performing.

John, 18, Essex
He adds something new and different to the show. He’s the one who sings in tune the whole time, throughout the nerves and all that.

Tom, 16, Cardiff
He’s hilarious, the funniest one of the whole bunch. He’s the most emotional out of the whole group. A very sweet guy.

Nicolo, 22, London
He’s on another dimension, which is very X Factor. Nicolo is definitely the one with the confidence.

Paije, 19, London
He is absolutely gorgeous and divine. Someone I’ve wanted to hang out with since the first time I saw the tape. He’s so funny.

It's the 4th series Louis Walsh will sit next to Dannii and it's the 4th series that he once again slams his co-judge.

He wants former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne back and he's not giving up until she is back on the show.
British tabloids quotes Lou-Lou talking about Mrs O and Dannii and he jokingly added:

Dannii who? Dannii's been in Australia, we haven't seen her.
Sharon is a friend of mine, Dannii is an acquaintance. Sharon's the best judge, what you see is what you get.

She'll be honest with me, she'll put me in my place. She's not boring, she's not predictable like the judges on other shows, like those BBC shows for older people.
I'd love Sharon to come back to X Factor.

About his category which he is disappointed with he said:

If Dannii or Cheryl had got the Overs, they'd have just run away back to Australia or wherever they're from.

Louis better watch out though. Dannii has come a long way since 2007 and she's also a mum now. He might be in for a big surprise...

It's like we're back at were we started. Dannii got the boys category in her first series of X Factor on Series 4 2007. She reached the final with not only one boy but two boys. The tension was high as Leon Jackson and Rhydian Roberts battled out both wanting to win The X Factor.

It was Leon Jackson who won however Rhydian was signed and has had a successful launch of his recording career.

Now it's time for the boys again. This year it has been all about the boys. Dannii and her manboy Kris not to mention her son, little prince Ethan.

For her 4 series on the X Factor she will once again pick 3 boys and see them grow and develope just like all of her other teams.

Dannii and Cheryl Cole returned to the show during Sunday where they was seen receiving the phone call from the producers. It peaked at over 14 million.

This coming weekend Dannii can be seen making her picks. Instead of picking 3 from 6 it will now be 8 in total.

They 8 boys are:

In today's The People Dannii says that she could back down as a judge and give her seat to new judge Nicole Scherzinger. The Pussycat Doll singer has been a ratings and a viewers hit while standing in for Dannii during her maternity leave.

Dannii who missed a big part of the show told the paper:

I don’t want to be in that seat if I’m not the right person for it. I thought Nicole was awesome. But, equally, if I prove myself then I should be there.

This weekend The X Factor goes to Boot Camp. For both Saturday and Sunday Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and guest judge Nicole Scherzinger will pick out the best of the bunch before it's time for judges houses.

This year Louis brought along Sharon Osbourne to sit next to him, to help him pick his team for 2010. With everything that's been there have been concerns about how Dannii will take the return on Sharon. But according to a newsreport in Daily Mirror, Dannii has no problem with that at all.

She is welcome any time, just not in my dressing room. I know they are great mates and I don’t want to do anything to step in-between that. It is just nice that now Louis and I can have our relationship and not be coloured by what anyone else is saying.

Dannii also talks about Simon and she is forever grateful for the chance he gave her.

I love the show and it is such a big part of my world now. I am always thanking Simon for what he has done for my career

It's been strange for fans not to see Dannii during this series of auditions. Although, in all honesty, Dannii isn't very visable in that part of the show but is often edited out.
But while Dannii was the darling of 2007 (or so they say) Cheryl Cole the darling of 2008 and both judges sharing the spotlight in 2009, this years darling is Nicole Scherzinger.

The Pussycat doll singer and girlfriend to Lewis Hamilton has impressed everyone during her role as a stand-in judge. Nicole enjoyed her spot on the panel although said she was disappointed she didn't get to sit next to Cheryl. Simon Cowell , or the TV's own Hugh Hefner was so impressed with her that he asked her back to boot camp which is next week. As this weekend, also boot camp will air both Saturday & Sunday.

Dannii is incoming and will be back for judges houses on yet another double weekend fun on October 2-3. She's doing some promo on Paul O'Grady's show on the Friday the day before.
The little lady has kept her fans up-to-date via twitter and sent a couple of video Hi's to them all.

Cheeky Louis Walsh can't resist slamming his favourite target, just a little bit. Lou-Lou told Konnie on Xtra Factor that Dannii is in a good place right now...Australia and started to laugh out loud.

Simon ends The Axe Factor

There will be no X Factor in 2011 and with that statement Simon Cowell ended Dannii's Axe Factor. Confirmed also by Amanda Holden who said that next year there will be lots of changes around Simon's both talent shows X Factor and Got Talent.

Mr Smug is focusing on the launch in America next year which he signed to Fox network. Instead X Factor U.K will come back in a nother season. Same goes for Got talent which will be longer and moved to autumn and end with a world talent competition if possible, he said.

But now the focus is on the new series and the 7th season is about to end the auditions. Next week it airs over the whole weekend, the weekend after that they go to Boot Camp and then we finally get to see Dannii on the show again.

The guest judges were Katy Perry, Geri Halliwell, Pixie Lott, Natalie Imbruglia and remaining is Nicole Scherzinger.

On Wednesday they launch the weekly X Factor magazine at Tesco, but after that it will be available in most shops.

Simon says: Dannii & Cheryl have the best groups

Today it's all about The Axe Factor and Simon Cowell. But speaking to OK! magazine the music mogul also spoke about this series and aid that Dannii & Cheryl have the best categories this year.

I think the girls have been given an easier ride. They weren’t around and the producers gave them an easier category because of this. They have decent people to work with.

Louis complained about it a few weeks ago saying he thought of quitting the show because of it.
Once the live shows starts the glows are off and Si added:

I’ve won in the past, I can do it again. The girls category is strong. But Louis hasn’t got a cat in hell’s chance

Right now the live auditions are airing on the telly with Boot Camp and the popular Judges Houses coming up in a couple of weeks. This year the filming of it is being kept a secret.
Fans are desperately trying to figure out what is going on there. Who's got what category, who is the guest judge and where are they filming.

The Axe Factor - the new turn

Louis has spoken to Glamour magazine about the Axe Factor and how he felt when it happened. He also said The X Factor is the Looks Factor and that with Dannii & Cheryl it's all about style wars and the pressure is on them both to look their best.

What I like is seeing the girls looking at one another thinking, 'Where did she get that dress? Why didn't I get that dress?' And, 'Who did her hair?' They are always kissing each other and complimenting each other but really it's a mixture between a catwalk and a catfight. Simon and me are the two ugly bookends.

Simon has started The Axe Factor again, even putting himself on the axe line. Si says he has plans of shaking up both Got Talent and The X Factor and that the show needs to change.

Expect big changes. I like the idea of doing something different next year.

I like the fact that the shows are going to have different time slots and different people on them. You have to change things on these shows otherwise it’s going to be the same old thing. And that means people will leave.

The Axe Factor

The X Factor has been caught in a scandal storm about using autotune on their contenstants in the first episode shown this weekend. Luckily for Dannii, she is miles away from it, but she is still part of the annual Axe Factor.

The Axe Factor

So how did it start? As Sophia Petrillo of The Golden Girls would say:
Picture this, London 2007. Dannii has just joined the X Factor panel along with choreographer Brian Friedman. They both replaced Louis Walsh in a big shake up of the show. But almost instantly, Brian is removed from the panel and is appointed Creative Director instead and Lou-Lou is back. He jokes that nobody is safe on the show and that anyone can get axed anytime. Dannii is quoted saying she is worried and doesn't know how long she will last on the panel and boom, the first Axe Factor appears.

In time for the new series in 2008 there is a new shake up again. This time Sharon Osbourne leaves the show and is replaced by Cheryl Cole. Cheryl becomes the media darling and according to them is everything Dannii is not. Dannii is 'fuming' 'boiling' 'furious' 'upset' and breaks down in tears as Louis Walsh mocks her on live television. The series goes on air and at the final press launch in December Dannii is once again asked if she will be back after Axe Factor stories appeared. The cheeky lady turns to Simon Cowell who replies with the same cheekyness, talking about the ceiling etc and later adds that it's not something they will decide now.

In 2009 The Axe Factor continuos and is fuelled by Dannii herself. She is in love with ex rugby player Kris Smith and they're both eager to stay close to each other. Dannii declares that after what happened in the last series, she is not doing anything without Kris around and if she agrees to judge on the show again,there will be no more bullying.

Simon changes the format of the auditions and the show is off to a positive start.
The first live show starts and everyone is happy. Until Dannii makes a few comments on the change of lyrics in contestant Danyl Johnson's song.
The Axe Factor goes off again and media says that telly bosses are furious with Dannii's behaviour and that she can be fired for it. After 4000 complaints to OfCom and a global interest over what she said, the show moves on.

So we are in 2010. Dannii announces her pregancy and reveals she will not be able to do the audition rounds of the new series. The Axe Factor starts once more and reports suggest Dannii will be sacked for being pregnant. Melanie B is said to be replacing her but then Cowell's spokeperson tells the media that he is very supportive of his judge. And the story ends.

Dannii goes back home to start her family life, gives birth to a little baby boy Ethan Edward Smith and it's getting closer to the launch of the first audition show on telly. The day before the TV premiere The Sun splashes out "Cowell set to sack Dannii" but according to them it's not this year, but the next that they will axe her. And that is where we are now.

How are you feeling to be embarking on the seventh series of The X Factor?
I’m more excited than ever. This show is incredible and I’m so grateful to be a part of it. I’ve been sent tapes of the auditions and I have to say that every year I’ve worked on the show I’m amazed by the high standard of talent. The show gives budding
performers a platform to shine and when they see others like them succeed, the new contestants fill with confidence and that is why there is never a shortage of talent. This year is no different and everyone, from judges to crew, are saying the talentis off the scale. Of course, there are some exciting characters in the mix too!

What have you missed since being on maternity leave?
Top of the list has to be Simon’s bad hair! I’ve almost given up trying to freshen him up. Towards the end of last year Cheryl and I decided we would gaffatape Simon to his throne in his dressing room and give him a new look. We never did manage to find an appropriate moment, and as much as Louis said he was keen to help us, I don’t think he would have on the day! We would have got into so much trouble. But really, I’ve missed not being at auditions and it’s been so strange not seeing Simon, Cheryl and Louis for months, but we’ve kept in touch. I am looking forward to reclaiming my judging chair too!

Have you remained in contact with any of last year’s contestants ?
I became so close with all my girls last year. I went to see The X Factor Tour at Wembley Arena in February. It’s the first year that I’ve been in the country and been able to attend. I felt so proud seeing all the final 10 acts up on stage doing their own thing and looking like true performers. Rachel and Lucie came to support me when I hosted ‘Ultimate Movie Toons’ (for ITV1) and Stacey and Ihave never lost touch either. She was a complete inspiration juggling motherhood and work last year
– not once did she ever lose the smile on her face. I can’t wait to catch up with them all on my return.

What are you looking for in this years contestants?
Every year the competition gets tougher for the contestants as they have big shoes to fill from the previous year. There is no formula for being a pop star, you just have to have that special ingredient...the X factor… that sets you apart from everyone else. I want to see longevity potential, a sparkle in the eye, outstanding vocal ability and effortless stage presence – nothing much!

Will ‘Team Minogue’ win this year ?
The X Factor is about giving someone that big chance and a rare but huge opportunity to shine in front of the nation. To be involved in this amazing process and offer as much support of encouragement to new budding superstars is just incredible. Of course, I would love ‘Team Minogue’ to win this year, but sometimes being a part of the competition is just as rewarding, look at the amazingsuccess stories of JLS and Diana Vickers.

Are you looking forward to coming back for Judges’ Houses?
I’ve been keeping up-to-date on all the audition gossip from the fans via twitter over the past couple of months. I love that 8 acts will be joining me at Judges’ Houses, although this will make it so much harder to choose the 3 acts who will make the live shows! It’s one of the hardest decisions to make as so much is determined by the final decisions made at Judges’ Houses. It’s such an exciting time as well
because it’s where it all begins in a way… next it’s the live shows where everyone has to shape up or ship out!

Which category would you like to mentor this year and why?
By the law of averages I should get the groupsthis year, I’ve never had them!However, you never know what’s going to happen. Whichever category I receive, all they need to know is that I’ll support them every step of the way. I’m really excited to arrive at Judges’ Houses to find out which category I have, the suspense!

What would you sing if you were to audition for The X Factor?
I’d sing ‘You’re So Vain’ as it’s one of Simon’s favourite songs, whilst wearing a Shamrock and doing a Girls Aloud dance routine – and you wonder why I’m on this side of the desk!

Being on X Factor has been a real roller coaster for Dannii. From the first day she started to work as judge next to Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne in 2007, Louis and Sharon made it clear that Dannii wasn't welcomed.
Especially Sharon was against Dannii and constantly made comments about her new co-judge. And when Sharon went on the Graham Norton show where she completely humilated Dannii, it was too much for Dannii to take.

I was devastated when she went on to Graham Norton's show and laid into me. I then had to see her on the show a few days later. It was awful.
It's not any sort of behaviour I'd ever been exposed to before.

Now! magazine quotes Dannii saying.
Sharon later left the show telling everyone that she left 'because of Dannii Minogue'. Sharon referred her ex co judge to a mosquito that she couldn't get away from.

They'd rather have some doll like Dannii Minogue as judge, endorsing this bulls**t. Dannii - I couldn't stand her. She wasn't so much a dim bulb as a bulb in a power cut. F**king useless

It was only the kindness and friendship from Simon that got her through the days and he also helped her get over the worry that she had over her sister Kylie's cancer scare.

Simon knew how vulnerable I was which was probably why he was so protective towards me.

My first ever day on the show I told Simon he'd helped me focus on something other than my sister's cancer battle.

But despite all the drama with Sharon, battles with Louis and the media harassment, Dannii loves being a judge on the show.

It's going to be a different X Factor this series. Not just because Dannii isn't there or because Cheryl has been ill. First they changed Bootcamp and shut off the audience and brought in Nicole Scherzinger as guest judge again. Nicole from Pussycat dolls has been the only judge who wasn't booed according to reports.

Now there has been changes to the judges houses phase of the show. And because of an idea that Scherzinger had. A show spokesperson said:

At Nicole's suggestion, and agreed by Simon and Louis, the boys' and girls' category age limit has been increased to anyone under 28, which the judges believe will strengthen the competition and talent.

In another twist, the number of wannabes from each group going through to the judges' houses stage has increased from six to eight.
Despite rumours to the contrary, the live shows will still kick off with 12 acts.

Dannii Minogue has given birth to a baby boy in Melbourne.

The X factor judge and and her partner, Kris Smith, say they're "thrilled" with the arrival of Ethan Edward Smith.

He was born on Monday and have chosen to stay out the limelight to help them adjust to being new parents.

It's Dannii Minogue's first child.

The singer's elder sister, Kylie, who has been busy promoting her new album Aphrodite, is due to fly over to welcome her new nephew in the near future.

Minogue's pregnancy has meant she has been forced to miss the recent X-Factor auditions, with stand-ins including Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.

New music that is. Dannii told InStyle Magazine that she has recorded a song written by her 2008 girl Ruth Lorenzo. According to the lady, it's something xtra special and said that the reaction on the song has been positive.

There isn't anything else said on the subject but Ruth is known for being a real rockerita (rock chic) so maybe this song will show another side of Dannii. Heavy disco?

Ruth made an outstanding performance of Purple Rain on the X Factor back in 2008 and has since then recorded an album which is to be released soon. There were also rumours that Ruth wanted Kris to be in her music video, but so far it's still just a rumour. With Kris also spotted buying a guitar, where will all this lead?

Louis Walsh has responded to the Dannii music rumour by saying he thinks that she could pull it off, if she was given the chance.
In last weeks Sunday Mirror the Irish man was asked about it and said:

I think if she had the right song and the right producer, she would have a No 1 record. And she’s looking better than she’s ever looked. I’m so pro Dannii now, I can’t believe it. Who would have thought that would happen?

Louis also spoke about the whole Sharon Osbourne vs Dannii Minogue drama, something that he at the time supported best friend Sharon in. Last year actress Joan Collins named the feud between the two women one of the biggest events of the noughties. Today Louis feels differently about the situation.

I’m a big friend of Sharon Osbourne’s, I love her, so I was always very much in her camp. But last year Dannii came in and she was really friendly and worked so hard. She’s a great judge and very dedicated, she so deserves her place on the panel.

Lou-Lou said he doesn't know the sex of the baby but said that Kris 'is a brilliant influence in her life', and she 'deserves to be as famous as Kylie'. He added:

Moving on to her sister, Kylie Minogue who joined the X Factor judge last year @ judges houses, has said that she would love to do it again.

Do you know, it was really much more personal than I thought it would be, with these girls in front of you with real emotion and so much riding on it.

I found it really difficult. But if I could do the same with Dannii again this year, I definitely would.

Kylie also slammed Walsh for how he treated her as well as Dannii previously by calling Lou-Lou 'a little snit'.

The auditions carried on and going back to the little Irish trouble maker, he was reported to storm off the set during the London visit. Sources said that he missed Dannii and felt frustrated about only having 3 judges instead of 4. There weren't any guest judges during these auditions.

He thinks if Dannii Minogue had been there,things would be different.
after all, she helped him get jedward through last year and, regardless of what you think of them. they were arguably the most entertaining thing about the show.

But Louis wasn't alone in missing his co-judge. Cheryl Cole/Tweedy and Simon Cowell were both booed and fans said that the two judges looked 'miserable and bored' throughout the London shows. On Monday American star Katy Perry joined the crew in a try to add some glamour to the show. No bad reviews have come out of her guest judging but fans of Cheryl said that although she was talkative and opinionated, she didn't really seem to like any of those auditioning.

She just went 'no, no, no ,no and no'. After a while it just got boring and Cheryl looked like she wanted to be somewhere else.

Dannii is said to be back on the show for this series of judges houses, but that's all the official information given.

Guest judges booed by The X Factor crowds

Both Geri Halliwell and Natalie Imbruglia have done stints as guest judges and received not the warmest of welcomes.

Geri was the first to incur the wrath of the crowds when she took position in Glasgow. Fans heckled her, demanded for Dannii to return and became enraged when she didn’t put through a singer who Cheryl and Louis had already said ‘yes’ to, accusing her of not making sense.
Geri stormed off stage after the taunts became too much which might have been a good thing because apparently the judges looked uncomfortable sitting next to her.

At one stage, show fans even urged to bring Minogue back to the judge;s panel. “Bring back Dannii! Bring back Dannii!”

Natalie Imbruglia kept the fan rage flowing yesterday in Birmingham and was the victim of ‘one hit wonder’ taunts. The trouble started when two 18-year-old girls took to the stage ready to sing Don’t Stop Believin’. An audience member told The Sun:

'They had only been on for two seconds when one got the hump, chucked the microphone in the other's face and stormed off.’ ‘She eventually came back and they started to sing. Simon stopped them and said one was better than the other, but they were both pretty awful. Natalie piped up that they weren't very good and one of them just snapped, ‘Sorry, who are you?’ ‘Poor Natalie couldn't believe it and Simon told them they had a bad attitude.’

Another audience member said:

Natalie really was awful. She wasn't in tune with what we were all thinking and made some odd decisions. I can't wait for Dannii to return.

A fan said that everyone is just missing Dannii. Even the bitchy 3am girls are missing her. They're complaining about the lack of style war and wrote:

ITV confirms Dannii's return

ITV has released a press release which states that Dannii is officially back on the show - starting from judges houses.

The multi award-winning entertainment show The X Factor returns in 2010 for series seven. Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole are set to reprise their roles on the panel, but only Simon, Louis and Cheryl will travel the length and breadth of the UK for the audition shows, attended by live audiences in each city. Dannii – due to give birth in July – will return for the Judges houses stage of the competition later in the year.

A series of star guest judges will stand-in for Dannii, which started with Geri Halliwell at the first audition in Glasgow. Natalie Imbruglia will appear at the Birmingham auditions (13th and 14th June), and other guests will include Katy Perry and Pixie Lott with further big names to be revealed as the auditions tour the country.

New audition city Dublin has been added this year, so the Judges will give their verdicts – in front of an audience – at venues in Glasgow, Birmingham, London, Dublin, Cardiff and Manchester.

When it comes to Danniis return factor, nothing has been confirmed. Her first meeting with the X Factor producers was reported as positive, but when asked about her future on the launch of Project D, Dannii couldn't say anything about it.

Yesterday at the launch of Project D - the fashion line by Dannii and Tabitha, Dannii was joined by her X Factor girls. Rachel Adedeji, Lucie Jones and Ruth Lorenzo all came down to Selfridges to watch their former mentor in action.

At the launch Ms Minogue was asked about the X Factor rumours and whether or not she will participate in the upcoming series. Speaking to BBC news beat Dannii said:

We're talking about X Factor at the moment but there's nothing I can say right now.

Lucie is convinced that Dannii will once again show that she is the best mentor on the show.

Dannii is definitely the best mentor, last year she really proved herself.

A lot of speculations have been made of this new series of The X Factor. It wouldn't be a new season without The AXe Factor and the replacing game so naturally there have been loads of that as well.

Dannii was reported having a positive first meeting with X Factor producer Richard Holloway but no deal has been made yet. Dannii is trying to work out a way for her to be part of the show after her baby has been born.

Stories about the less Factor started to circulate and recently News Of The World tried to create a feud between Dannii & Cheryl Cole/Tweedy again. Simon's older brother Tony had told them that Dannii wasn't wanted but that her pregnancy combained with her popularity made it impossible for them to aXe her.

This weekend there was X Factor mania in Glasgow as Dermot took the shows auditions guiding new wanna-be-stars to sing (not in front of the famous judges) too see if they have got what it takes.
The creator of the show Simon Cowell has had big demands for this years show, wanting to make it better than ever and that comes with a price-tag.
Mr smug revealed that he hopes to sign the deal with ITV this week.

Lucie praises Dannii

One of the most talked about moments on X Factor last year was the episode which saw Dannii's girl Lucie Jones being voted out by Simon Cowell. She was in the bottom 2 with the double trouble from Dublin, John & Edward, and Simon had the deciding vote on their fate.
He took didn't vote for Lucie and it went to deadlock.
Lucie was voted out and JEdward stayed.

Dannii began to question if the show was a singing competition or if it was a popularity contest. When it was Dannii's turn to have the deciding vote Ms Minogue didn't take it to deadlock- - instead she based her vote on what Cowell should have done - the singing performance and sent JEdward home.

Lucie told the weekends Mirror that she was really upset @ the time. She told them that she wanted to punch Simon even.
Lucie's feelings for her mentor are of another story. Lucie dubbed I-love-Lucie by Disco is a big fan.

I really clicked with Dannii right from the beginning. She was so maternal and really looked after us girls.

Then when Stephen Gately passed away and Louis Walsh wasn't on the show she took over and looked after the groups, even though it wasn't her responsibility. She wanted everyone to do well.

Dannii to sign new X Factor contract

DANNII Minogue is poised to sign a deal paving the way for her return to hit British talent show X Factor.
Speculation had been mounting about whether the pregnant singer would return as one of the show's four star judges given she is due to give birth half way through the new series in July.

But Minogue is due to return to Britain from Australia this week to sign a deal that will allow her to work as a judge from her home in Melbourne for part of the series.

The 38-year-old will study video of aspiring stars auditioning for the show from next month before returning to her judge's seat in September.

A source within ITV, which broadcasts the show, said producers would meet Minogue this week to discuss logistics.

We want her back, it's just a question of how, as she'll give birth in the middle of things. It's about working out how to work that into the show.
We could film Dannii at her house to show viewers she was still closely involved.
Then we'd make a really big deal about her return after giving birth.

A friend of Minogue's said the star 'would love to be back'.

Stacey Solomon appeared on Live From Studio Five. When asked about Dannii and if she will be asked back on the X Factor, funny girl said that she'd love to see Ms Minogue back on the panel.

Yeah, I think so. Why not? I think it's weird when anyone leaves. What about when Louis [Walsh] left - it was so weird! I don't think it should change, I like it.

Stacey also said Dannii still keeps in touch with her former gals and that recieving a text on Christmas made her day.

X Factor wants Dannii back

According to today's Daily Star, Simon Cowell has asked Dannii to return to his show. A lot of speculations have been made on whether or not pregnant Dannii is suitable for this series. Ms Minogue's baby due in July means that there will be no auditions for her and because of that, the producers are inviting guest judges to fill in for Dannii.

Will she return?
Dannii told Australian reporters that this is a tricky year for her because she really wants to be with Kris and their baby. Dannii also told DS that she'd love to be part of it somehow and pop in for a visit to see how everyone is doing.

Simon Cowell is locked in with X Factor producers about the future of the show. It was speculated last year that he would move it to BBC but sources say it'll stay on ITV. Both Dannii & her boss hinted something about a 5th judge and a novelty category that the show was planning to bring on.

Ms Minogue is back in the headlines and of course its The Axe Factor. According to Mirror and Star, Dannii is facing losing her job on the hit show.

However, Mirror's report is a bit contradicting because it also says Dannii will be given a new role instead. Simon's spokes person said nothing is definite yet but that they are still discussing it. The report also says that Paula Abdul will be Dannii's replacer.

D's girl from 2008, Ruth Lorenzo, is still close to Team Minogue. The Spanish rockerita who is soon to release her material says that her label (EMI) want to have Kris Smith as a model in her video. Dannii's gorgeous man has left the sportsworld to become a model and is doing very well for himself.

There was a picture of you with Dannii there. Is that the first time she’s been down to the tour?
- Yeah! It was the first time any judge has been to The X Factor’s tour. It was so good to see her because she’s off to Australia soon and then I won’t see her until she comes back in May.

Is she really excited about being pregnant?
- Yeah! And I’m really excited.

When did you know she was pregnant?
- Only a few days before everyone else – she just texted saying they were expecting. I was so excited, jumping up and down. I couldn’t wish it for two nicer people.

When new! interviewed Dannii in September, she was saying she doesn’t feel very maternal, so do you think that has changed?
- Completely. She’s so excited. It will be the most beautiful child in the whole world!

Will Dannii be coming back as a judge?
- I haven’t got a clue, we haven’t talked about it.

What has she said about being pregnant?
- Well, she’s got her bump now and the baby has started to kick and stuff and she’s really radiant and happy. She hasn’t mentioned any morning sickness; she seems very chirpy.

Dannii's girls Lucie Jones & Stacey Solomon are currently busy with the X Factor tour. I-love-Lucie spoke to WalesOnline about her experience on The X Factor and how things were really like down @ the judges houses in Dubai where Dannii picked her for her final 3 in 2009.

“Dannii had a suite in the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai that overlooked the whole palm resort.I was there singing for Dannii and (sister) Kylie and looking out of the window at this lovely blue sky and these amazing houses and I had to keep pulling myself together because it was all so surreal.

I could never read Dannii’s face when I was singing and I left the room gutted.
I felt like my heart was broken and I was convinced I wasn’t going through.
What you don’t see on the TV is how prolonged everything is.
We had a whole day not knowing whether we’d got through or not.

Dannii paid for us to go swimming with dolphins and kept telling us to enjoy the whole experience.
And then came the day Lucie would find out whether she was to continue on the show or be sent home to South Wales – hours she labels ‘unbearable’, and which she describes in far more detail than the Jedward episode.
We all had to wait at the bottom of this lift that took you about 60 floors to Dannii’s room down the end of a corridor,” she says.
We stood there for four hours, waiting, because the heat had caused technical difficulties with the cameras and obviously everything has to be on film.

I got into Dannii’s room and she was evaluating how I’d been throughout the competition and at one point you see me roll my eyes because I’m thinking she’s going to say ‘but.....’, and then the cameraman says ‘hold’ and it felt like the longest wait of my life.
Then he goes, ‘okay, we got it’ and Dannii said ‘you’re through’.
I screamed Dubai down.”

Dannii's gorgeous girl also revealed she went flat-hunting with her former mentor.

While Australia will soon announce Kyle Sandilands as a new judge on Australia's Got Talent with Dannii, U.K reports are saying she will not return to the X Factor this year.
They quote Miss Minogue saying:

"I would love to be involved, but I am definitely having my baby in Australia in July so it's going to be hard to juggle all of that. I need a Wonder Woman suit and a cape"

Nothing is confirmed yet, but for sure this year will be full of xcitement!

Irish U magazine has Miss Minogue on their cover with the headline - The end of X Factor.
Dannii's going home, Cheryl's big move and Simon is going to the states.
All true. Dannii is heading home to Australia, Cheryl Cole has launched her solo career which is going well and Simon Cowell is busy setting up his new projects in America.

Glamour magazine's March covergirl told the magazine that her return to the hitshow is the last thing on her mind right now.

"They don’t decide on the panel until April or May and they never seem to make decisions until just before we start shooting. I’d love to be involved again, but to be honest it’s the furthest thing from my mind, who knows?"

Dannii will be filming 'Ultimate Toons' next week. She is expected to return to Oz shortly after that.

The Super Star Factor

MANY stars are eyeing Dannii's X Factor chair, but it will have to something really huge to fill Miss Minogue's place on the panel. According to News of the world Simon Cowell is trying to secure A-list stars such as Beyonce', Eminem and Robbie Williams to fill in for Dannii when she is due to give birth.
"Dannii was brilliant on X Factor last year. Simon and everyone else would love to have her back. But there are real concerns that she isn't going to be able to combine motherhood for the first time at 38 and the exhausting auditions." a insider is quoted saying.
A source close to Dannii said:
"The producers want to find a way to make it work with her. They support her pregnancy."
They also reveal that Simon has plans of extending the panel and let the stars comment as well.

Daily Mail has another story. Kate Nicholl says Dannii wants to relocate to Australia and work there. According to her insider Dannii will not be doing the 7th series but that she will stay in touch with Cowell and his team.

Last year there were rumours about Dannii starting The X Factor in Australia and now Simon Cowell is said to have asked her to start The X Factor down under.

L.A Times are hopping on New York Post's story on Simon Cowell and his X Factor U.S.A. Reports says that he will lauch the popular show in America next year.

Regarding X Factor U.K it was said that Simon is also looking for a fifth judge to join the panel. The show isn't confirmed to return yet but the gossip about who will judge is always a hot topic.

Instead of 'will Dannii leave?', it's now reported that another Spice Girl is coming onboard - Mel B.

Dannii had Emma Bunton as her guest judge in 2008 and Mel B has expressed her wish many times to be part of the show. Mel told a paper she can't say anything about it yet.
